Access to “deep talent pool” prompts second location for regional IT firm
CONWAY, Ark. – Little Rock, Arkansas-based Mainstream Technologies today announced plans to open a second location in downtown Conway, Arkansas. The 20-year-old IT Services firm provides managed services, custom software, and hosting to clients throughout the mid-south.
“Mainstream Technologies is celebrating our 20th anniversary this year and we are excited about expanding into Conway, which offers us the opportunity to expand our footprint in an area that is rich in both talent and vision,” said Mainstream CEO Johnny Burgess. “Many of our associates currently commute to Little Rock from Conway and this move will give them the ability to work closer to home and improve the quality of their lives.
The downtown Conway location will begin operations in September and will initially have 15 employees. Burgess says that the Conway location will help Mainstream respond to growing client demands. “Having a presence in Conway gives us access to a deep talent pool and Conway’s diverse and vibrant technology community opens up new opportunities for our Managed IT Services, Colocation services, and Custom Software Development services.” Burgess said that Mainstream plans to add an additional 30 high-wage technology employees over the next 5 years.
“When a growing company and a growing community’s values align, it represents the pinnacle of economic development,” said Conway Mayor Tab Townsell. “Mainstream Technologies recognizes the best in Conway’s future. And they also recognize the needs of their employees today. It’s a perfect fit.”
Little Rock Regional Chamber Chairman Jeff Hathaway said, “Mainstream Technologies’ expansion into Conway is a perfect example of how a regional approach to economic development can benefit the progressive counties and cities, and the growing businesses, of metro Little Rock. Congratulations to Conway and to Mainstream.”
