Google Chrome zero-day being actively exploited

Google Chrome released an update sometime yesterday to address a recent zero-day vulnerability that they are now seeing being used in the wild to exploit this bug in a freetype library.

Chrome usually updates itself, but if you have Chrome browser installed on your machine, please manually verify you are up to date.

To do that, open it and click Help, About Google Chrome to check for updates.

The current version today is Version 86.0.4240.111

Note this is CVE-2020-15999 and google is not sharing the finer details in an effort to not give away to much before people have time to patch.
