Compliance Networks started out as nothing more than an idea on the back of an envelope. After working for several years with various retailers Greg Holder recognized an unaddressed need.  Many major retailers did not have access to a system for managing their vendor supply chain - and if the right system were offered, it would be attractive to numerous retailers.

That's when Mr. Holder founded Compliance Networks.  He then brought in Mainstream Technologies. Together we sketched out the logic and requirements for a large-scale retail system.  Mainstream developed an adaptable architecture and filled in the integrated parts.  Together we successfully brought the project through several phases of design, development and testing.

When the system was operational, Compliance Networks undertook a marketing effort that quickly signed a well-known retailer.  Mainstream implemented the application (now formally called rCMS ) for this retailer and has hosted, serviced, continued development, and maintained the system ever since. Compliance has continued adding retailers from several different industries to its customer base. This group of customers includes traditional department stores, sporting goods and office products retailers.  Mainstream has been Compliance Networks' partner at every step, providing implementation services and support.

Mainstream worked with Compliance Networks to design a product that Compliance didn't have the manpower or in-house technical expertise to create on its own. It would have been a shame for the original idea to have remained on the back of an envelope.
