The Mainstream IT Systems Health Check

Our clients frequently tell us that they are unsure about their technology foundation. Whether their systems have evolved as the need arose, supported by an outside firm, or their "IT Guy", they need additional confidence. Such knowledge will either provide peace of mind or the ability to chart a clearer path.

The Mainstream IT Systems Health Check is a comprehensive 30-point system check developed by Mainstream to assure your systems will support your business. This is the first step towards a proactive IT approach that avoids that "break-fix" mentality. By being proactive, you can help avoid losing business-critical systems that can cost you dearly.

Mainstream utilizes our experienced IT technicians onsite for this Health Check. On the average, this process takes 4 hours per server and ? hour per desktop/laptop.

Areas evaluated and compared to business best practices resulting in recommendations for improvement:

  • Physical environment to include HVAC, security, power, location
  • Internet and network connectivity and security
  • Server health for hardware and software
  • User account best practices
  • Workstation and Laptop review (typically 2-5 machines as a sample)

Mainstream will also conduct brief interviews of up to 3 employees to gain better insight into the issues or problems that the users experience. Quite often issues go uncorrected as users either do not want to bring them up, or they just live with them because it has always been that way. We will try to uncover the computer-related issues that limit your company's productivity during these interviews.

You will be provided with a Health Check report detailing any discrepancies along with recommendations for address each.
