Compliance Networks started out as nothing more than an idea on the back of an envelope. After working for several years with various retailers it was obvious to Greg Holder that many major retailers did not have access to a system for managing their vendor supply chain -and the right system could serve a host of retailers .
Mr. Holder founded Compliance Networks . Then he brought Mainstream Technologies in. Together they sketched out the logic and requirements for a large-scale retail system. Mainstream Technologies developed an adaptable architecture and filled in the integrated parts. Together they brought the project through several phases of design, development and testing.
When the system was operational Compliance Networks undertook a marketing effort that quickly signed a well-known retailer. Mainstream Technologies implemented the application (now formally called rCMS ) for this retailer and has hosted, serviced, developed and maintained the system since. Compliance has gone on to add retailers from several different industries to its customer base. This group of customers includes traditional department stores, sporting goods and office products retailers. Mainstream Technologies was been with Compliance Networks every step of the way, providing implementation services and support.
Mainstream Technologies worked with Compliance Networks to design a product that Compliance didn't have the manpower or in-house technical expertise to create on its own. It would have been a shame for the original idea to have remained on the back of an envelope.
"Two great things about how Mainstream Technologies hosts our ASP environment: number one - it's 100% transparent to our users. Number two - Mainstream Technologies maintains the network, the equipment, everything. My staff doesn't even have to think about any of that. We had to provide remarkably minimal configuration support at the start and that's it. It's the perfect solution for any size company."
